Job Description

The Store Incharge would be responsible for the overall store operations, particularly focusing on the storage, issuance, and tracking of heavy mechanical components, raw materials, consumables, and spare parts. The role requires technical understanding of parts and BOM (Bill of Materials), coordination with planning and production departments, and strong inventory discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:-

• Receive, inspect, and verify materials as per specifications and purchase orders.
• Maintain categorized storage for mechanical components.
• Manage storage of critical components like castings, forgings, hydraulics, and electrical panels with traceability.
• Interface with manufacturing and purchase departments to understand BOM and production needs.
• Ensure correct tagging, binning, and labelling for easy identification and retrieval.
• Maintain inventory records using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, and Tally ERP).
• Implement Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of precision and heavy components.
• Coordinate with quality control for incoming material inspection and quarantining of rejected items.
• Manage returnable and non-returnable gate passes for tools, dies, and customer-supplied materials.
• Maintain records for scrap, rejected parts, and non-moving inventory.
• Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards in handling heavy equipment and hazardous materials.
• Support periodic maintenance of store equipment like forklifts, pallet trucks, and weighing scale
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without overstocking.
• Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Monitor storage conditions and material preservation.
• Coordinate with purchase and production teams for timely material supply.
• Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile with system records.
• Manage store staff, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Implement and maintain FIFO/FEFO/LIFO systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

Key Deliverable:
• To achieve annual budgeted targets for exports.
• To act as an enabler in achieving the exports business objectives
• Development of key business accounts in Exports markets.
• Development of  agents network in  various countries/ regions
• Key OEM development activities to increase brand value
• Providing overall leadership to sales team for Exports market.
